Localspot is a local discovery app that helps you find pubs, restaurants, cafes, bars, and events near you. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Account information — when you create an account we collect your email address and any profile details you provide.
Location data — only when you use the "Near me" feature and grant permission. We do not store or share your location; it is used only in the moment to show nearby venues.
Usage data — basic analytics such as which venues you view, check-ins, and saves. This helps us improve the app.
Device information — device type, operating system, and app version for crash reporting and compatibility.

To provide and improve the Localspot service
To personalise your map and venue recommendations
To send notifications about saved venues (only if you opt in)
To allow businesses to promote their venues and deals
To detect and prevent fraud or misuse

4. Third-party services

Localspot uses the following third-party services:

Clerk — user authentication and account management. Clerk Privacy Policy
OpenStreetMap — map tiles. No personal data is sent beyond standard HTTP request headers.
Nominatim — geocoding when you search for a location. Only your search text is sent; no personal data.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties except as described above or as required by law.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
